Finding the RIGHT Real Estate Agent
What are you most interested in when hiring a real estate agent? Most people want an agent who will sell their home as fast as possible or head off running searching for their perfect home. Of course, that is a general goal for all home sellers/buyers. After all, when putting your home on the market it is safe to say that you want to get rid of it right away. However, the main thing that you should be looking for is a real estate agent with experience that actually cares about you and your needs!
How does experience help in your real estate transaction? First, the experienced agent will already have been in many different situations. This helps to ensure that no matter what you throw at them they will be able to take it with ease. In a perfect world you'd hope for smooth transaction but it is nice to know that your agent will be able to handle anything and everything that they are asked to deal with. An experienced agent will be able to get you the best possible deal and is the way to go but only if they genuinely care about your needs.
Overlooking the caring factor is not something that you want to do. Any real estate agent can tell you what they will do for you and how many transactions they've closed, but do you really trust them? Are they selling your home because they care or are they just motivated by the money?
You'll find that a lot of agents only take on your business to collect their money and hope they never see you again. These are the "same agents" that push home buyers to go for the home that's in their higher price-range lists and that take them out to see homes only when its convenient for them not the buyers. Its ridiculous and you as the buyer/seller deserve better than that! You deserve an agent that is there for you, that will search every home and won't stop until they've found you the right home for you. You need an agent that personally communicates with you and he or she doesn't have a team member email you once a month. Its time you found an experienced agent that's working for you because they enjoy it and keeping in touch is a promise not a nuisance!

A Little Information On Fair Housing & Equal Opportunity
Fair Housing Act: Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968 (Fair Housing Act), as amended, prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental, and financing of dwellings, and in other housing-related transactions, based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status (including children under the age of 18 living with parents or legal custodians, pregnant women, and people securing custody of children under the age of 18), and handicap (disability). Fair Lending: It is unlawful to be: turned down from obtaining/purchasing a mortgage loan, left out in the dark about information regarding loans, given different terms or conditions on a loan (such as different interest rates, points, or fees), and discriminated when having property appraised because or based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status or handicap (disability).
As I've said before I abide by all Fair Housing Laws and make all transactions safe, quick, and easy!

$8,000 Tax Credit for First Time Home Buyers
First-time home buyers are still taking advantage of the unbelievable real estate market conditions, pushing sales up 3.2 percent to 84.6 on the Pending Home Sales Index in March 2009, according to the National Association of Realtors®.
It’s 2.6 points higher on the index than in Feb. 2009 (82) and 1.1 percent more than March 2008 (83.7).
Lawrence Yun, NAR chief economist, had this to say about the latest progress:
“This increase could be the leading edge of first-time buyers responding to very favorable affordability conditions and an $8,000 tax credit, which increases buying power even more in areas where special programs allow buyers to use it as a down payment. We need several months of sustained growth to demonstrate a recovery in housing, which is necessary for the overall economy to turn around.”
Remember that the $8,000 tax credit for first time home buyers is only available until Dec. 1, 2009. With the market showing signs of life there is no telling how long the record-low home prices and interest rates will remain at their current levels.

Introduction
My first few years of life I grew up in a small town of North Carolina and eventually moved to Chesapeake, Virginia. This is where I went to school and graduated high school and college. Shortly after graduating I became an instructor of massage therapy and went on to further my education for business and marketing. I later became a part of a mortgage company located in Newport News, Virginia and after working with several Real Estate Agents and seeing the other side, It wasn't long until I was going down the exciting path of Real Estate! I was recruited with Long and Foster as a Director of Marketing for one of their many branches. Soon thereafter I became a licensed Real Estate Agent. In March of 2009, I joined the family company, Native American Group Realty located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, as a Real Estate Agent serving all of Hampton Roads. I provide dedicated service to help individuals as well as families sell or find their home. I practice Real Estate abiding by all the fair housing laws and by creating a safe and comfortable home buying/selling experience.
